This West Roxbury property features both a bath remodel and a kitchen remodel. BATH REMODEL: In the bath, outdated pink wall tile and floor tile was replaced for a more modern look in shades of gray, black, and white. Fixtures were replaced and electrical and plumbing systems were improved. Defects in the venting system were corrected and the exhaust flow rate (CFM) was substantially improved with a new higher volume exhaust fan. KITCHEN REMODEL: A wall was removed to open the small kitchen space to the dining room, making for a much airier and welcoming room. A peninsula with granite countertop and bar stool seating was added to increase prep space and seating. The addition of pendant lighting makes this a very inviting work and dining space, and improves the overall ambiance of the kitchen and dining room. The drop ceiling was removed and the finished ceiling height was moved up 3 feet. New tile was installed in the kitchen and dining room floors and integrated with the living room wood floor which was retained.
