Bay State Refinishing & Remodeling gave this ~2000 sqft Dorchester house an entire interior remodeling from studs to finish. This whole home remodel with new kitchen, bathrooms, living room, dinning room and more included a complete plumbing and electrical work. The customer asked for a modern look with an open concept layout. Our original, in-house design, gave this outdated looking house a sophisticated, sleek contemporary look while keeping a homey feeling.
In the kitchen and dinning area a brick column remained untouched to keep some old elements of the house and give it a warm feeling. A structural work was done to remove a load bearing wall between the kitchen and the dinning room to achieve an open concept layout. The ‘Calacatta Macaubas’ counter tops together with the dark gray cabinets and chrome appliances give the kitchen a sophisticated and modern look.
The bathroom was expanded to a bigger space to include a shower as well as a free standing tub with high end finish plumbing fixtures and tile design. The tub features a sleek contemporary styling, high-gloss acrylic-capped ABS with fiberglass reinforcement. This soaking tub with extra deep bathing well and wide accessory storage deck, has a complete tub kit which includes chrome freestanding tub filler, hand spray and drain. It also has a pre-leveled tub bottom and a limited Lifetime warranty.
As part of the remodel, the laundry room was relocated from an unfinished basement to the bedroom floor for easier access.
