Kitchen remodel of a Dorchester house that was built in 1895.
A contemporary, modern design per customer request with light and modern colors while keeping some elements of the existing colonial style.
Some millwork elements were kept such as the hardwood floor, window trims and beadboard walls that had to be sanded, stained and refinished to match the other areas of the house. White cabinetry, Barre grey granite countertop, 4X12 grey backsplash tiles and chrome appliances acheive a modern look.
All the windows were replaced as part of the remodel. Two undermount sinks and two garbage disposals were installed in the kitchen, one of each was installed in the kitchen island. Three pendant lights were added to illuminate the island area.
