We used Bay State for our clawfoot tub restoration and refinishing. David, our point of contact in the office, was an enormous help throughout the process. He effectively communicated the nature of the work, the refinishing cost and the expected outcome. Josh, the technician performing the work, was one of the best contractors we've ever worked with. It was 90+ degrees on the day he came but he dug right in and got the job done. He communicated changes that needed to be made (the tub had been repainted previously and needed additional work to get it right) and pivoted quickly to insure the job was done right. Jose was great. He worked fast and clean. He was very proactive, calling ahead, and coming by earlier than planned which worked out great for me too! I would certainly recommend them for a tub refinishing project.

I used Baystate refinishing for my bathroom refinishing. Overall I'm happy with the work and price. Scheduling was easy and they were flexible with last minute changes due to work. Yuri came on-time and overall was respectful with my home. I've worked with a number of refinishing contractors and some treat your home like a backlot washroom. The actual work looks good. For those wondering I don't think you could tell the tub and tiles were refinished. I have no complaints. I waited two months to write the review to see if there would be any issues and two months later everything is holding up. I would follow somebody else's comments to remove all the bathtub fixtures prior to the work being done. After reading others comments I did the same and it creates a much more cleaner look. I have another bathroom in my home that needs refinishing and I'll be calling on them again.

I called these guys sometime early summer looking for a price for a refinish job. I spoke to Martha, she was fantastic very patient and professional with me considering, that I didn't call them back until this month to get the job done. The technician (Juan) came out and did his thing. It was interesting how he spent more time doing the prep work than the job itself. After it was complete, the pink tub looked like a brand new recently installed white tub. This company along with Juan and Martha deserve more than 5 stars.!

My tub was in a really bad shape due to unprofessional work done in the past by other tub refinishing companies. Jose from Bay State Refinishing came to my place and gave a 1000% to bring the tub to a perfect shape. He worked super hard on that while always being pleasant, respectful and professional. Jose came over in Friday and did a great job refinishing our bath which had been chipping for a while. Arrived on time  and he told us about all of the steps while he was doing it and was finished early. Came out great! I would use them again!

I had a super tight timeline to finish a first floor reno that included getting the bathtub repaired and refinished. After the first company I contacted told me it would be mid July (uh, no thanks), I was so glad I saw the Yelp reviews for Bay State Refinishing. Thanks fellow Yelpers! Ray was kind and helpful and booked me in in the time I needed. Russell arrived promptly on both days and did a great job. I was a little worried because we had new floor refinished and bath tile installed. But Russell's great work took away my fears. And when the plumber accidentally put a scuff on the outside of the tub (ah, contractors!), Russell took care of it when he came back to do the non-skid and grout. Every step of the way, from the first call to the follow-up, I received excellent service and couldn't be more happy with the tub.

I just had my bathtub refinished this past Thursday. I was nervous going into this, as it's the first time I hire for this type of service and wasn't familiar with this company at all. But from my first call to make the appointment I felt pretty much at ease. The appointment was within a week of my call, not bad as I needed time to get ready for it. The technician showed up exactly when promised, answered my questions and finished the job on time. I'm very happy with the tub. Pricing was affordable and as quoted, and they email you an invoice with instructions to prepare for and after the work is done, came in as a very handy reference. Although its only been a few days since the work was done, its clear that these are no rookies and my tub is like new and shiny again.

Bay State Refinishing exceeded my expectations in every way.  When my fiancé and I bought our first house, we were thrilled with everything about it... except the main bathroom.  It was pink AND salmon (both) with somewhat random black accent tiles with a pink/salmon/black mosaic floor.  It really needed to go.  I called Bay State Refinishing pretty much the day we closed on the house.  Ray was very prompt in returning my call when I first left a message (I was up super early when I called and left a message, but I heard back later that morning).  He then scheduled a visit to come see the bathroom within a couple of days, gave me a quote, and scheduled for them to start at his earliest availability.  We ended up having to reschedule because we didn't realize we had scheduled the start date as Memorial Day, but they handled it well and were very accommodating. Everyone who worked on the project arrived early or on time, worked super hard, and were very friendly.  David in particular, was friendly, helpful, and a total perfectionist about the work being done.  The man who did the reglazing and resurfacing work (unfortunately, I don't remember his name) but he was very friendly and communicative about the process, and routinely kept me updated about the progress and how long it would take- and I wasn't even asking!  He just volunteered that info to keep me in the know and feeling on top of it all.  Not to mention, it was in the upper 90's that whole day and he maintained a cheery demeanor in spite of spending the day in a full chemical suit in a house with no AC unit installed yet.  (We gave him ice water for his troubles!) And finally, the work itself:  it's fantastic.  I can't believe the difference.  It feels like a whole different bathroom even though it's just a different colour and new floor.  It feels like a complete remodel, but for about 1/3 the price.  Everyone I've shown has gushed about the difference and even the people who were skeptical about reglazing versus retiling have been completely wowed.  I highly recommend Bay State Refinishing if you can't spring for a full remodel, but want to feel like you got a whole new room!

Very professional group with excellent customer service and great field team. David performed my cast iron tub refinishing and he was a consummate professional and performed stellar work. I was extremely happy with the final product and would use them again if needed and request David!

Called Bay State and got a call back next day. I was given an estimate and an emailed contract within  hours. I was given a day and time the staff would arrive. They came and refinished my shower and shower pan and it looks great. Of note, I had another shower refinished by another company and the fumes were so toxic, I had a headache for days. bay state uses a special process that produces no noxious odors. I highly recommend them and since I have an apartment house will gladly use them again.

I live in a 200-year-old house which did not have plumbing originally. 100 years ago they added plumbing and the original clawfoot tub finally needed some tender loving care. My brother had recommended Bay State - I made the appointment and they gave me the estimate on the phone. Frank arrived on a very hot day and set to work. Despite the job taking longer than anticipated, he stuck with the agreed-upon price. The difference in the tub is night and day. It truly is a work of art. It looks brand new! If you call the company, I'd recommend specifically requesting Frank He's an artist at what he does.

I hired Bay State to re-glaze my horrible harvest gold tub. Yuri came and did a wonderful job. He was very professional and respectful. He was here for about 3 hours and when he left the only reason you knew anyone was here was because my yellow tub was now a beautiful white! I would recommend Yuri and Bay State to anyone looking to update their bathroom without spending thousands on a new tub.

Solid, trustworthy guy showed up on extremely short notice (with promise of healthy tip) to reglaze a tub in an apartment I was moving into. He assessed the prior work and left me confident the job would be done properly. Now, after a few days (it takes several days for the glaze to cure), my girlfriend describes this tub as the cleanest (American) tub she's ever seen. I really appreciated their flexibility, the analysis, and the confidence of a job well done they gave me.

My fiberglass tub refinishing was done this past weekend. I am extremely happy with their overall service and with the results. First, I had some questions about whether the job could even be done and they agreed to send someone by to look at my tub after work. Yuri came by exactly at the time promised, he was very nice, and he assured me it could be done. My bathtub refinisher was David and I could not have been happier with him. First, I requested that someone start as early as possible, preferably as close to 8 AM as possible, as I had an early afternoon commitment. Dave called me at 7:20 to let me know he was on the way and would be there within half an hour. 20 minutes later he was at the door. So that’s 2 appointments with 2 different reglazing specialists and both were right on time, something that is rare these days.  David was very nice and extremely professional, taking the time to explain how everything was going to work and how long it would take. He was meticulous in his preparation, making sure everything in my bathroom was protected. He did such a good job it took me 45 minutes a few days later to unwrap all the protection and you could see that he took great care and pride in his work. The job itself was great – my tub looks brand new. He also took the time at the end of the job to explain how to unwrap everything, and to recommend I replace the drain and stopper. Really just a very good job by a very detailed professional. Great overall experience and highly recommended.

These guys came out for a quick estimate to spray our bathroom tiles right after we closed on our house.  They gave us a good price and we chose them for the good reviews.  The tiles look beautiful!  We had to call them to come back and grout - it seems there was a misunderstanding there, but they came back and finished the job and it looks great.

Ray and his crew did a great job removing an old bath fitters insert that had, surprise, surprise, leaked and then refinishing the original tub underneath to a glossy white sheen. They also put in some tile and new bathroom fixtures for us too. Talk about an upgrade! It's like having a spa in our place. Every interaction we had with Ray, David and their crew was professional and they did a great job of keeping us apprised of the work that was done each day. They even helped us avoid a major problem when our thermostat battery died when we were away. Big thanks for a job well done and I'd have no qualms about hiring them again.

Jose also refinished my bathtub, he was friendly,  he showed up during the window time and called me half hour before the arrival. He explained to me about the option that I can have on the final finish. He also seals the tub area with many paper and tape to make sure the paint stays only on the tub. I would use them again for other properties that I own. They can take payment with the credit card machine.

We recently contacted Bay State to come out to our place for an estimate on reglazing our bathroom tub, along with fixing several cracks in our porcelain sink. I must say that from first contact to the finished product I was very impressed. The technician who came out to give me the quote was the same who did the work… he was on time, friendly, knew what he was doing and completed the job in one day. Best of all, my bathroom looks amazing now. Thanks again.
