Bay State Refinishing & Remodeling helped to reinvigorate this classic home from 1895 in Dorchester with a contemporary, modern kitchen remodel. Bay State Refinishing & Remodeling worked closely with the client to bring their vision to life by adding light, modern colors throughout while paying special attention to keep elements of the existing colonial style to ensure the new kitchen blended seamlessly with the rest of the house.
Some of the existing features that were kept included millwork like the hardwood floor, window trims, and beadboard walls. The Bay State Refinishing and Remodeling team sanded, stained and refinished these elements to match the other areas of the house. To achieve the modern look, the Bay State Refinishing & Remodeling team complimented the new white cabinetry with Barre grey granite countertops and 4X12 grey backsplash tiles. In addition, the chrome appliances help complete the clean, sophisticated look of the new kitchen.
New windows, as well as undermount sinks and garbage disposals, were also installed as part of the remodel. Finally, three pendant lights were added to illuminate the island area and help blend the rustic colonial features of the house with the new, modern kitchen.
