Mt Vernon Ave. Waltham

Before

After

DETAILS

Tired of the dated interior and exterior of their home, this client was looking to gut and renovate their entire home. The remodel consisted of new exterior siding, roofing, doors, windows, trims, as well as full remodels of the kitchen, 3 bathrooms, living room, and dining room. In addition, the Bay State team finished out the basement and added a half bath and laundry room to the newly-finished basement.

To help the client create a more open space, the Bay State room removed the wall between the dining room and the kitchen. This helped bring a more modern, open feel to the living areas and helped deliver even more light into both rooms.

The designers at Bay State helped the client identify all-new cabinetry and once they were installed along with the new stainless steel appliances it was an entirely new look for the previously-outdated kitchen. Plus, the new kitchen incorporated several new storage options to help keep things tidy and keep them motivated to cook family dinners more frequently.

For the bathrooms, new subway tiles were added throughout and the new white vanities helped brighten the area up considerably. In addition, several new storage options were added to the bathrooms to keep things hidden away and promote an open, inviting space. To help create even more openness throughout, a frameless shower door and panel were added to give transparency and create a more spacious feel.

The basement finishing included installing all-new luxury vinyl flooring throughout that looks great and will stand the test of time. In addition, the team at Bay State replaced the oil tank that was previously housed in the basement and added the half bath and laundry room to add much-needed functionality to the space.

Finally, the new exterior siding helped the exterior match the new interior by transforming it from a dated appearance to a designer exterior.

Throughout the process Bay State’s designers worked hand-in-hand with the client to bring their anticipated dream to reality. In addition, she helped design the layout for the newly-finished basement as well as helped with the selection of fixtures and accents.

In the end, the client loved the results and their new home. The additional functionality of the basement provides them much-needed functional space in their home. The client is looking forward to their future in their updated home.
