After purchasing a new home in Newton, MA, this client was looking to renovate the entire space prior to moving in to help make it a truly unique and personal space. The team at Bay State were happy to help and worked hand-in-hand with the client throughout the project.
The renovation took place throughout the house and many elements were used to make the space unique and striking. The traditional wainscoting in the dining room and most of the rooms helped transform the space. In addition, a contrasting wall color above helped brighten and personalize the space even further.
The fully-finished and remodeled basement incorporated a new barn door and shaker-style doors that quickly became the renovated home’s most striking feature. In addition, the doors helped accentuate the basement’s transitional style.
All in all, the client was extremely excited to start enjoying their newly-renovated home. With the finished basement and added living space, they can entertain more guests and offer them a place to stay overnight. In addition, the basement’s separate exterior door will allow for their children to have a popular hang out space with friends or for a new playroom. Finally, the finished attic became a small retreat for their clients where they can get some quiet reading time in or jump into some work in their new office.
